Most professionals would, of course, know the pros and cons of using one material to the other. Nevertheless, some would try to short change you to get more profits. The Problem in Pool Installation

One problem one would have to face during pool installation is the cost. In order to build a durable pool, people used to need to hire an engineer to make sure that the structure is right. Special equipment and operators need to be hired to do the work too. It was just too cumbersome and expensive to have your own pool then.

Fiberglass could have been the solution. However, no single company actually produced a high grade fiberglass pool material. Without which durability was still not present. Such products did not prosper too as they were inferior to the concrete pools.

PVC Liners’ Emergence

Thanks to PVC liners, the leakage problem was eventually solved. The PVC liners only provide the water proofing. It is only connected to the main pool structures so that even when structural movements occur and cracks happen, it will not result in leakage. The PVC liners make this possible. So now, concrete block walls can be used to hold water better than before. The key to all this, of course, is a durable and stable structure.

The emergence of PVC liners changed the pool industry a great deal. Practices in pool installation were somehow changed. Now, PVC liners are available for all kinds of pools and for all kinds of materials used in building the pools. In fact, using PVC liners has become the standard in the pool industry.
One should be careful about some manufacturers of panel pool products though. While many of the brands today produce such materials good for above the ground pools, most of them are not suited for in-ground pools. So if you are installing an in-ground pool, you have to be sure that your pool is getting a good structure. Only then can your pool be leak free. Of course, only then will you be able to truly enjoy the fruits of your investment.
